The 2024 Electrified G80 is an all-wheel drive midsized sedan offered in Advanced and Prestige trim levels (the inaugural 2023 edition came as a single trim level). Both come with two 136 kW electric motors, which produce a combined output of 365 horsepower and 516 lb.-ft. of torque. The 87.2-kWh battery supplies enough power to take you 282 miles on a full charge, which translates to 105 MPGe in the city and 89 MPGe on the highway.
When the Electrified G80’s charge drops to 10 percent, plugging in to a 350-kW/800-volt DC ultra-fast charger will take it back to 80 percent in approximately 22 minutes. Plus, during the initial three years of ownership, you’ll receive complimentary 30-minute charging sessions at any Electrify America charging station.
No matter which of the two trim levels you choose, you’ll be treated to an upscale driving experience to say the least. The base-level Advanced is equipped with an electronically controlled suspension featuring road preview (which scans ahead for changing road conditions and adjusts accordingly to minimize impact), rain-sensing windshield wipers, a power hands-free smart trunk, power-folding side-view mirrors, LED headlights and taillights, leather upholstery, wood interior trim, ambient interior lighting, a synthetic-leather upper instrument panel, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a position memory driver’s seat with power bolsters and cushion extension, and a heated power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel. It also gets a convenient walk-in device, enabling you to effortlessly slide the front seat forward with the push of a button, making the second row easily accessible.
The Advanced trim’s tech roster includes an 8-inch digital gauge cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with HomeLink, Genesis Digital Key, four USB ports, active noise control, wireless phone charging, vehicle-to-load (V2L) charging, and Genesis Connected Services. The Prestige gets all of the above but with several elegant enhancements, such as Nappa leather upholstery, a microfiber suede headliner, tri-zone automatic climate control, power rear sunshades, and a 12.3-inch 3D digital gauge cluster.
