The 2025 G80 awaits you in five trim packages: 2.5T Standard, 2.5T Advanced, 2.5T Sport Prestige, 3.5T Sport Advanced, and 3.5T Sport Prestige. The 2.5T versions get a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine making 300 hp and 311 lb.-ft. of torque, whereas the 3.5T models have a 3.5-liter V6 that puts out 375 hp and 391 lb.-ft. of torque. Every trim has an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drivetrain. According to the official EPA fuel economy estimates, G80s with the 2.5T powertrain return 20 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway, while the 3.5T editions achieve 16 city/24 highway.
The 2.5T Standard populates its list of fine features with power-adjustable heated front seats, heated rear seats, leatherette upholstery, a leatherette-wrapped upper instrument panel, a heated power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, a 27-inch OLED display housing the instrument cluster and infotainment system (more on that below), a fingerprint authentication system for booting up the engine, a power hands-free trunk, power-folding side mirrors with puddle lamps, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The 2.5T Advanced adds ventilated front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, a power rear sunshade, matte wood interior trim, a panoramic sunroof, and 19-inch wheels. The 2.5T Sport Prestige leans toward a more athletic design and adds genuine leather upholstery, an enhanced driver’s seat with power bolsters and cushion extension, power closing doors, Digital Key, aluminum interior trim, an electronically controlled sport-tuned suspension with road preview, and 20-inch wheels with performance brakes.
Along with the livelier engine, the 3.5T Sport Advanced gets most of the features found in the 2.5T Sport Prestige, minus the power-closing doors, performance brakes, and 20-inch wheels. On top of that, it adopts wireless phone charging, manual rear side-window sunshades, and 19-inch wheels. The 3.5T Sport Prestige returns the power-closing doors and 20-inch wheels, while also gaining Nappa leather upholstery, a heated center-console armrest, a head-up display, carbon-fiber interior trim, and microfiber suede lining the door pillars and headliner.
Genesis installs an excellent suite of confidence-enhancing advanced driver-assist technologies in every 2025 G80. That roster includes forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, driver attention warning, forward attention warning, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, parking sensors, adaptive cruise control, speed limit assist, highway driving assist, safe exit assist, and automatic high beams. The 3.5T Sport Advanced also gets a blind-spot view monitor, while the 2.5T Sport Prestige and 3.5T Sport Prestige receive additional parking sensors, a surround-view monitor, and Remote Smart Parking Assist.
As mentioned, the G80 gets an expansive new 27-inch OLED display for model year 2025. The infotainment portion consists of navigation, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. While the 2.5T Standard comes with a booming 12-speaker sound system, the remaining trims are set up with a more sophisticated Bang & Olufsen unit providing sound reproduction of the highest quality.
