It’s mid-cycle refresh time for the Genesis GV70, which has logged some substantial updates to its exterior styling and interior technology. The most noticeable changes center around a redesigned G-Matrix Crest Grille featuring a dual-weave mesh pattern. It’s complemented by new micro-lens array headlamps with Genesis’s signature two-line design and redesigned rear turn indicators. The front end also shows off a more prominent skid plate and extended air intake grilles that boost the vehicle’s athletic stance.
Inside, look for an all-new 27-inch OLED display that combines the instrument cluster and infotainment system into a single horizontal layout. Other improvements include adjustable ambient lighting, enhanced voice recognition technology that allows drivers to control various vehicle systems, and revamped over-the-air update capabilities. Performance-focused additions include a new Terrain Mode with optimized settings for different road conditions and Highway Body Motion Control for optimal ride quality.
Every 2026 Genesis comes with a generous warranty program that provides five years or 60,000 miles of bumper-to-bumper coverage and ten years or 100,000 miles of powertrain safeguards. The 2026 GV70 comes in two main versions – 2.5T and 3.5T – which are distinguished by their powertrains. The 2.5T has a 300-hp turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and comes in trims called Standard, Select, Advanced, and Sport Prestige. The more powerful 3.5T moves up to a 375-hp twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6, with a choice of two trims, Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige. An eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drivetrain are standard for the full GV70 lineup.
According to the EPA’s official fuel economy estimations, the 2.5T returns 20 mpg around town and 28 mpg on the open road. Highway fuel economy changes to 26 mpg with 21-inch wheels. The estimated ratings for the 3.5T are 18 mpg city and 25 mpg highway. When the GV70 is equipped with trailer brakes, it can tow as much as 3,500 pounds. The cargo area offers 28.9 cubic feet of space, which can be expanded up to 56.9 cubic feet with the second row free of passengers and folded down.
There aren’t many base trims out there that are as well equipped as the 2.5T Standard. It comes with a 27-inch combined digital instrument cluster and infotainment dashboard panel, a fingerprint authentication system for vehicle access, heated power side-view mirrors, a hands-free liftgate, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a heated 12-way power driver’s seat with lumbar controls, a heated eight-way power front passenger seat, leatherette seating surfaces, and dual-zone automatic climate control. Other amenities include proximity keyless entry, push-button start, LED exterior lighting with automatic headlamps, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with paddle shifters, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, LED cabin lighting, four USB ports, and 19-inch alloy wheels. The Select trim dials up the luxury factor with a panoramic sunroof, wireless device charging, a driver’s memory system, a power tilt-and-telescopic steering column, power-folding side mirrors, and aluminum interior accents.
Upgrades for the Advanced trim include leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, power lumbar controls for the front passenger seat, and backlit cabin trim. The Sport Prestige is the most loaded 2.5T, getting sport-appearance leather upholstery, an enhanced driver’s seat (with massage and power bolsters and cushion extension), tri-zone automatic climate control, a leatherette wrapped upper dashboard, a digital key, alloy pedals, a second-row AC power outlet, and 21-inch alloy wheels.
The 3.5T Sport Advanced is equipped similarly to its 2.5T Advanced counterpart but also gets an electronically controlled suspension, sport-appearance leather upholstery, an enhanced driver’s seat, a digital key, and alloy pedals. The 3.5T Sport Prestige raises the plushness factor with Nappa leather upholstery, an electronic limited-slip differential, heated second-row outboard seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, sound-reducing rear-door glass, a microfiber suede headliner, rear-door shades, carbon-fiber interior trim, and 21-inch alloy wheels.
Every GV70 has a core group of standard advanced driver-assist technologies, consisting of forward collision-avoidance assist, lane keeping assist, lane following assist, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, rear cross-traffic collision-avoidance assist, highway driving assist, intelligent speed limit assist, and adaptive cruise control. All trims also get front and rear parking sensors, forward attention warning, driver attention warning, safe exit assist, and automatic high beams.
The 2.5T Advanced and Sport Prestige, as well as the 3.5T Sport Advanced and Sport Prestige, add a blind-spot view monitor, a surround-view monitor, rear parking collision-avoidance assist, and enhanced parking sensors (front, side, and rear). The 2.5T Standard and Select trims are given a high-quality audio system with nine speakers, while the higher trims get a little fancier with a 15-speaker Bang & Olufsen setup.
